We don’t believe the most beautiful homes are built from the same five retail websites.
Private Furniture Sourcing
The pieces you can’t simply find online.
The most beautiful pieces aren’t sitting on the pages of traditional furniture stores.
They come from independent makers, specialist suppliers and our wider sourcing network, often with options to customise size, finish, fabric or configuration.
If you’ve discovered a piece through one of our projects or social channels and want it for your own home, our Private Furniture Sourcing service allows you to purchase it through us.
Sourcing through DMNR gives you access to our trusted supplier network, considered selection and experience behind every piece.
We manage everything from specifications and supplier communication through to ordering and delivery, taking the uncertainty out of sourcing something special for your space.
You choose the piece. We handle everything else.
Buying furniture directly from independent and international suppliers can involve far more than placing an order online.
We work directly with our trusted supplier network on your behalf, confirming availability, specifications and finishes, arranging your order, managing communication throughout production and coordinating freight and delivery to your door.
You have one point of contact throughout the process.
Us.
How it works
-

Send us the piece
Submit the piece you’re interested in along with your delivery location and any relevant size, finish or material preferences.
-

We confirm the details
We contact the supplier directly to confirm current pricing, availability, specifications, customisation options and estimated lead time.
-

You receive your quote
We prepare your private sourcing quote, including the furniture, sourcing and procurement, and estimated freight and delivery costs.
-

We place and manage your order
Once approved, we manage your order directly with the supplier, from purchase and production through to freight and delivery.
PricingEvery piece is quoted individually, with pricing based on the item, specifications, customisation and delivery location.
Your quote includes the cost to procure your furniture, along with sourcing, order management, freight and delivery.
You’ll receive the complete cost for approval before your order is placed.
A note on lead timesMany pieces are made to order or sourced internationally, so lead times vary.
We’ll provide estimated production and delivery timeframes before you commit and keep you updated throughout.
For custom pieces, a little patience is part of getting something chosen specifically for your space.
Custom ordersOur sourcing service isn’t limited to pieces you’ve already seen in our projects.
If you have a particular piece, reference image or style in mind, you can submit a sourcing enquiry and we’ll let you know whether it falls within our sourcing network.
Have a question before you enquire?
Something caught your eye?
Send us the piece you’re interested in and where it needs to be delivered.
We’ll take it from there.
Private Sourcing Terms
We want the sourcing process to feel considered and straightforward from enquiry through to delivery.
Because many of our pieces are made to order, customised or sourced internationally, there are a few things to know before placing your order.
-
All pieces are sourced from our network of independent makers and suppliers.
Unless expressly stated, pieces are not designed or manufactured by DMNR. We manage sourcing, procurement and delivery on your behalf.
-
All sourcing orders are confirmed once your quote has been approved and payment has been received.
Your quote will outline the furniture, sourcing and procurement, estimated freight and delivery, and any other known costs applicable to your order.
No order will be placed with a supplier until payment has been received in accordance with your invoice.
Once we have placed an order with the supplier, the order is considered confirmed and our cancellation and return conditions will apply.
-
By approving and paying your sourcing quote, you confirm that you have reviewed the item specifications, dimensions, finishes, estimated lead time, delivery requirements and applicable costs provided to you.
You also acknowledge that privately sourced furniture may involve made-to-order production and international freight, and that estimated timelines can change.
Our role is to manage the sourcing, procurement and delivery process for you, keeping you informed and acting as your point of contact from order through to delivery.
-
Many of the pieces we source are made specifically for each order and may be customised in size, material, colour, finish or configuration.
It is the client's responsibility to carefully review and approve all specifications provided in the final quote or order confirmation before purchasing.
Due to the nature of custom and made-to-order furniture, these pieces generally cannot be cancelled, exchanged or returned for change of mind once production has commenced, subject always to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Natural materials including stone, timber, marble, leather and other organic finishes will have inherent variations in colour, grain, veining, texture and tone. These variations are part of the character of the material and mean that an individual piece may not appear identical to samples or photography.
-
Any production, freight or delivery timeframe provided is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
Furniture production and international freight can be affected by factors outside our direct control, including supplier production schedules, material availability, public holidays, customs clearance, port congestion, weather and freight carrier delays.
We will keep you updated where we become aware of a significant change to your estimated timeframe.
We recommend allowing sufficient time when sourcing furniture for a particular event, move-in date or project completion, as delays can occasionally occur.
-
Because we purchase furniture specifically for each client, orders generally cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier.
If you request a cancellation before production or fulfilment has commenced, we will contact the supplier to determine whether cancellation is possible. Any cancellation will be subject to the supplier's terms and any costs already incurred in connection with your order.
Sourcing, procurement, transaction, freight or other costs already incurred may not be recoverable.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
-
Freight and delivery costs are calculated based on the information available at the time your quote is prepared.
For internationally sourced pieces, additional customs duties, import taxes, government charges, inspections or other destination-specific fees may apply.
Where these costs can be reasonably determined in advance, we will include or identify them within your quote. Where additional charges arise during importation or delivery that could not reasonably have been determined beforehand, we will notify you before arranging payment or proceeding where practicable.
Unless expressly stated as included in your quote, duties, taxes, customs charges and other third-party charges are additional to the quoted furniture and freight price.
-
Before ordering, please make sure your furniture can safely access its intended location.
This includes checking doorways, hallways, staircases, lifts, ceiling heights, corners and any other access restrictions relevant to delivery.
Please also let us know before ordering if your property has difficult access, stairs, lift restrictions, limited parking, loading restrictions or requires specialist delivery equipment.
Where an item cannot be delivered because of inadequate or undisclosed access, additional delivery, handling, storage or redelivery costs may apply.
-
Please inspect your furniture as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If you notice visible damage to the packaging or furniture at the time of delivery, photograph the packaging and item before disposing of any materials and notify us as soon as possible.
Please retain the original packaging while we assess any reported freight damage, as the supplier or freight provider may require photographs or packaging as part of their claims process.
We will liaise with the relevant supplier and/or freight provider and guide you through the next steps.
-
While we carefully coordinate freight and delivery, furniture can occasionally be damaged during transportation.
If your piece arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible with clear photographs of:
• the damaged area
• the complete piece
• the external packaging
• the internal packaging
• any visible damage to the carton, crate or packagingWe will manage communication with the supplier and/or freight provider and work toward the appropriate resolution based on the circumstances of the damage and your applicable consumer rights.
Depending on the nature of the issue, this may involve repair, replacement of a component, replacement of the item, or another appropriate remedy.
Please do not arrange repairs or dispose of the item or packaging before speaking with us.
-
Furniture should be accepted within the agreed delivery window once it is ready for delivery.
If delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive the item, access has not been arranged, the property is not ready, or delivery has been postponed at the client's request, additional storage, handling and redelivery charges may apply.
Any third-party storage or redelivery costs incurred as a result will be communicated to you and may need to be paid before another delivery can be arranged.
-
Because we work with independent suppliers and makers, availability, pricing, materials, finishes and specifications can occasionally change without notice.
A supplier may also discontinue a piece or material between your initial enquiry and your order being placed.
If this occurs before you have purchased, we will let you know and, where appropriate, help you explore an alternative.
If a supplier advises us after payment that they are unable to fulfil an order, we will work with you to determine the appropriate next step, which may include an alternative piece or a refund of amounts applicable to the unavailable item, subject to your applicable consumer rights.
We will never substitute a different piece, material, size or finish without your approval.
-
Many of our sourced pieces are handmade or produced using natural materials.
Minor variations in dimensions, colour, texture, grain, veining, patina, stitching, finish and other characteristics may occur between individual pieces.
Photography, screens and lighting can also affect how colours and finishes appear.
Where exact colour, grain or pattern placement is important to your space, please discuss this with us before placing your order so we can determine what can reasonably be confirmed with the supplier.
-
Supplier pricing, exchange rates and freight costs can change, particularly for internationally sourced furniture.
For this reason, quotes are valid for the period stated on your quote.
If your quote expires before payment is received, we may need to reconfirm pricing and availability before accepting your order.
Once your order has been paid and confirmed, we will notify you if an unexpected supplier or freight issue arises that materially affects your order.
